Similar to a search engine, Klu uses keywords to navigate through your data. Input a keyword like 'meeting notes product', and Klu will direct you to various sources where this term appears.

This type of search is useful for broad inquiries where you wish to see every instance of the keyword across your connected apps.
Enter a word into the search bar to find related documents, messages, or data points. For Gmail, keywords can be in the content of the emails. For Notion and other apps, they're typically in titles or prominent text fields.
Understanding Questions-Based Search
For more specific inquiries, frame your search as a question. Klu then works to extract a direct answer rather than just pointing to possible sources. Use this method when you need a concise answer, such as a total amount from a 'budget report'.
Here is another example with a Notion source. We're asking a question using the right keywords; in this case, 'help center' and 'improvements.' These are the right keywords because the Notion page title and content where this information is stored actually contain both of these keywords. So, we come back to the concept of searching on Google. The right keywords will be matched with the right content, and it will provide you with the information you need to continue your work.

Use filters to narrow down your search results within Klu. Filters can be based on date, app source, file type, and more.
Sort Filter
Best Matches: This option sorts results based on relevance to your search query.
Title: Choose either ascending or descending to sort results alphabetically by title.
Last Edited: You can sort documents by the newest or oldest based on the last edited date.
Created: Sort by the creation date of files or documents, either from newest to oldest or vice versa.
What Filter
All: This default setting searches across all types of content.
Email: Narrow your search to only find results within your emails.
File: Use this to search for specific files across your integrated applications.
Task: If you’re looking for tasks, this filter will limit the search to actionable items.
Where Filter
Application-Specific: This allows you to search within a specific app. For example, if you have integrated Notion, Gmail, Slack, etc., you can choose one of these to search exclusively within that application.
When Filter
Time Frame: This filter lets you specify the timeframe of your search, such as:Today Yesterday Last 7 days Last 30 days
Custom date range:
Select a specific start and end date for your search.
Using these filters together can powerfully narrow down your search. For instance, if you’re looking for an email about a "budget report" sent last week, you could set: What: Email
Where: Gmail (assuming it’s integrated)
When: Last 7 days
This will provide a focused search returning emails pertaining to your keyword from the past week.
